To Support and Assist Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads for the Preparation of Follow on Project of Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Sector Development Program (RRRSDP) – 2)

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The main objectives of the consulting service is prepare viable investment proposals as a follow on to RRRSDP Phase 1. The main output of this consultancy is Detailed Project Reports (DPR) of proposed individual road sub projects. The Consultant conducted the Feasibility studies, Detailed Surveys, Detailed Engineering Design, Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and preparation of Social Safeguard (GESI and Resettlement Plan) and contract packaging including preparation of bidding documents.

The consultant has provided social, technical and professional inputs to complete the following activities:

i) feasibility study, detailed investigation and design and cost estimates of rural roads (1068.23 Km)  with economic analysis; ii) base line survey, social safeguards, land acquisition and resettlement planning; iii) environmental assessment including Initial Environmental examinations; iv) feasibility study for about 33 motorable Bridges (Based upon the consultant's recommendation in the feasibility study report, DoLIDAR will arrange for detailed survey, design and cost estimate of the bridges) v) Contract packaging including preparation of bidding documents; vi) preparation of implementation arrangement plan; vii) preparation of detailed project reports of sub projects; viii) Preparation of Project Investment Plan and Financing Plan; ix) Assessment of Project Benefits, Impacts and Risks and x) Preparation of Project Appraisal Document for Donor Investment. Total Project Cost: NRs. 25339.68815 Millions
